Napo to support Bawumia to forge new partnership with traditional authority for dev’t

NPP Vice-Presidential Candidate Dr. Matthew Opoku has reiterated his resolve to support the party’s flagbearer, Alhaji Dr. Bawumia, and deepen the bond between the political class and traditional authority. During his visits to Okuapehene, Oseadeayo Kwasi Akuffo III, Okuapehemaa Nana Afua Nketiaa Obuo II, and Omanhene of the New Juabeng traditional area, Nana Kwaku Boateng III, Dr. Prempeh reiterated his commitment to Dr. Bawumia’s new partnership for development vision, which aims to ensure total inclusivity in the governance processes.

“The UP tradition, the frontrunner for the present-day New Patriotic Party, was not the endeavor of a single ethnic group but a collective effort of Ghanaians from various backgrounds, and so we are always reminded of the foundational principles of inclusivity and unity,” he said.

Dr. Prempeh, a former Minister of Energy and key figure within the ruling NPP, has been actively engaging with chiefs and traditional leaders across the country with the aim of solidifying grassroots support for the flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as the party gears up for the 2024 presidential elections.
