NDC Presidential Primaries: Confusion hits Ningo-Prampram

 

The NDC’s presidential Primaries although has been reported smooth so far at the various polling centre’s, information reaching the Atinka Media Village is that one of the polling centres is in chaos.

According to reporters on the grounds, a polling centre in the Ningo-Prampram constituency has been confronted with a misunderstanding that has resulted in a fight between one Mp and one Constituency Chairman.

Reports also indicated that the names of some three polling stations were missing, indicating that 89 registered branches out of 92 were available.

The chairman for the constituency, Michael Tetteh who made this information known to DGN Online said they were waiting for the national executives of the NDC to visit the constituency to address the issue.

Meanwhile, he explained that he submitted a register of 92 branches but only 89 was made available to him for the election.

For the delegates whose names were missing in the register, they expressed a feeling of disappointment while some of them could not hold their temper.

On the other hand, Representatives of Goosie Tanoh and Prof Joshua Alabi, two of the seven aspirants have so far filed protest.

To calm the situation down, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC, Ade Coker attributed the issue to a “typo”, appealing to the delegates to remain calm while the issue is being addressed.

He has also asked the EC to commence the election while they address the situation.
