The Amansie West District Director of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Mr Christian Opoku, has urged staff of the scheme to sensitise beneficiaries on covered drugs to enable them be much aware of the specific drugs that the scheme is providing to them.
He said, this will put away misunderstanding that always ensues between beneficiaries and hospital administrators when they attend hospitals.
Mr Christian Opoku was of the belief that, this will however encourage beneficiaries to show more commitment to the scheme by contributing their quota to support the scheme.
Mr Christian Opoku was speaking to Kessben news reporter, during the annual health performance review of the Amansie West District Health Directorate at Manso Nkwanta.
On his part, the District Director of Health, Ghana Health Service, Pharm Bernard Badu Bediako, complained bitterly about the poor road networks and high cost of rent allowances in the community calling on authorities to help address this challenge which is affecting health delivery in the area.
