No African Swine Fever in Kwahu West – Veterinary Officer

The Municipal Veterinary Officer for Kwahu West, Dr. Mark Owusu, has dismissed reports circulating on social media about an outbreak of African Swine Fever or swine flu in the municipality.  

Speaking to our Journalist Yaa Yeboah Boamah, Dr. Owusu assured residents, especially in Nkawkaw, that no cases of pig infections have been recorded in the area.

He described the social media claims as false and urged the public to disregard them.  

He further encouraged pork lovers to enjoy the delicacy without fear or panic during the Easter celebrations.  

Authorities continue to monitor the situation to ensure public safety.
