No T-shirts of aspirants at NPP Delegates’ Conference

The Ashanti Regional Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Kwesi Kyei has warned party members attending the National Delegates Conference not to bring placards or wear T-shirts of Presidential aspirants to the event.

According to him, the conference is going to focus on some proposals made by party members to develop the party and deliberate on strategies to win the next election, and that anyone who wants to wear a T-shirt should wear that of the party in general or that of the President.

The ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) has scheduled December, 18 to December 20, 2021, to hold its National Annual Delegates Conference in Kumasi, in the Ashanti region.

Prior to the conference, persons aspiring for several leadership positions in the party have erected billboards within the greater Kumasi area had been asked to remove them by midnight on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

Although most of them have removed their billboards, others have not ben touched at all.

Speaking on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie with Ekourba Gyasi Simpremu, Mr Kwesi Kyei said the aspirants were given up to last night to remove their billboards, saying no one had theirs out there.

Although he had not been to town to check the results of the caution, he was of the firm belief that everyone had taken off their billboards.

“We will not see anything. All we are urging is that no one should put out their billboards, no placards or no t-shirts,” he said.

For those who mount billboards or post photos of aspirants, they will be dealt with.

“We are not going to do an election; its just a conference. Our Leaders have drafted 38 proposals and we are going to deliberate on it, we are not going to do concert party so let us all understand this,” he said.
