Some delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have accused the Member of Parliament for Okaikoi South Constituency, Darkoa Newman of taking their names off the album being used to vote.
According to them, some Regional Executives about two months ago promised to maintain all old delegates for the election and later get new ones if necessary.
Unfortunately for them, 413 names had been taken off the album, out of the 820 delegates that were supposed to vote.

Speaking on Atinka TV‘s morning show, Ghana Nie with Ekourba Gyasi Simpremu, Rose Budu, a Delegate at Okaikoi South who went to vote at the Prince of Peace Polling Station confirmed that out of 820 delegates, 413 names had been removed from the album and they do not understand.
She said they chased the album for sometime but it was not made available to them till only the night before the election.
“When we checked the album, we realised that Darkoa Newman had taken our names from it and we do not understand,” she said.
When asked if Darkoa Newman had the capacity to take their names off the album, she said it was possible since Darkoa Newman had a problem with some of them.
She explained further that the coordinators usually work on the album and the MP oversees it, hence she could change names in the album.
Meanwhile, Rose Budu alleged that the name of a 16-year-old who does not have a card and has never voted had his name in the register.
“I have done constituency work for 20 years. Now my name has been taken off and we will not understand it today or tomorrow,” she said.
Rose Budu called on Party leaders to settle the matter amicably.
