A businessman and philanthropist Alhaji Mohammed Abubakari has presented various medical supplies and equipment to the Nakpali Health Center in the Korili District in the Zabzugu constituency in the Northern Region.
The donation was made at a ceremony, which was attended by chiefs, opinion leaders and some well-wishers within the area together with the medical staff of the health center.
speaking to the gathering, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakari said the lack of medical equipment needed to save lives in the health center got him worried and influenced the decision.
He said the location of the facility was key to offering quality healthcare delivery services to a greater number of people in the Zabzugu Constituency.
He added, his outfit had over the years assisted a number of health centers across the constituency with such medical supplies that included hospital beds, mattresses, gloves, wheelchairs, syringes, and blood pressure machines as part of efforts to support providing universal healthcare for Ghanaians.
The medical director of the health center, who received the items praised the businessman for his benevolence, saying it had come at an opportune time to meet the growing health needs of the people.
He pledged dedicated services by staff of the directorate and called on all stakeholders to support the course of healthcare delivery in the constituency.
