NRSA Cautions Road Users Ahead of Eid ul-Fitr Celebrations

The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) has cautioned road users to prioritize safety as the country prepares to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr.

The Authority, in a press release, congratulated Muslims for their dedication and perseverance throughout the 30 days of fasting while urging them to maintain discipline and responsibility on the roads during the festivities.

According to the NRSA, the Eid season is often characterized by increased movement, which heightens the risk of road accidents if safety measures are ignored. It, therefore, advised drivers and motorcyclists to avoid overloading, speeding, and reckless driving. Pedestrians were also urged to use designated crossing points and avoid jaywalking to prevent accidents.

“We urge all road users to take frontline responsibility for their safety and that of others on the road to ensure a safe and incident-free Eid ul-Fitr celebration,”- the statement emphasized.
