Security analyst, Adib Saani, says the number of terrorist attacks is likely to triple considering the frequency of the attacks.
This is in line with the recruitment of some 200 to 300 young people into the various GSIM-JNIM and EIGS katibas.
After undergoing training in training camps in the Sahel, these young recruits were reportedly sent back to their villages of origin, in particular to engage in religious proselytizing.
According to the Security expert, after undergoing training in training camps in the Sahel, these young recruits were sent back to their villages of origin, in particular to engage in religious proselytizing.
He mentioned that one of the objectives of this gradual establishment would be to establish or reinforce the units present in the Diefoula forest, located on the border between Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire, in order to secure GSIM-JNIM access to Ghanaian territory.

In an interview on Atinka FM’s AM Drive with sit-in-host Nana Fianko (Mr Speaker), Security analyst, Adib Saani, revealed that considering the frequency of the terrorists attacks in Africa, it is estimated that the number of attacks will go up.
“It is estimated that the number of attack’s will double or even triple considering lately the frequency of the attacks especially in Burkina Faso and the rest. Ghana seem spared but obviously they are using us for other purposes because the reports suggest that considering our proximity, they can withdraw into Ghana, reorganize and go back to stage the attacks. It is just a matter of time. Ghana can lose its usefulness and they will come after us,’ Adib Saani said.
Adib Saani attributed the mass recruitment of Ghanaians to some terrorist groups to porous borders, fester smuggling, arms and human trafficking.
