The auditions of Atinka TV’s award-winning reality show, Obuasi Gringo Bitters Di Asa season 8, has commenced and the first audition was held at Nsawam on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
Dora Serwa Kwakyi and Victoria Oparebea Korbeah qualified at the Nsawam auditions.
They were selected based on their weight, dance skills and the audience appeal.
The Obuasi Gringo Bitters Di Asa season 8 was launched on Friday, May 24, 2024 at the Sika Hall inside Atinka Media Village.
Over the years, Di Asa has brought together plus-size women to shape their ideologies, expose them to the world with their dance skills, encourage them to embrace their natural bodies, and change the perception people have about plus-size women.
This year’s Di Asa, dubbed, “Dance for Peace,” seeks to promote peace and unity amongst Ghanaians as the country gears towards the presidential and parliamentary elections.
Aside from promoting peace, it will also thrill audiences with top-notch entertainment and exciting performances.
At the launch, the Di Asa Season 8 logo was unveiled, as were the sponsors.
The former Di Asa queens also stormed the stage to entertain the audience with electrifying dance performances.
Speaking at the launch, the acting managing director of Atinka Media Village, Ishmael Narh, urged Ghanaians to brace themselves for another wonderful experience.
He welcomed all sponsors and supporters and assured them that their journey with Di Asa would not be in vain.
Meanwhile, the next audition for the will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
