The Member of Parliament for the North Tongu in the Volta Region, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has announced the death of his father, Samuel Awuku Okudzeto.
The 74-year-old died after he took ill for sometime.
This was after he returned to Ghana from the United States of America.
Although very active on social media, the MP kept the death of his father from the public for days before speaking about it on social media.
After receiving messages of condolences and and words of encouragement, he took to his Facebook page to thank all well wishers.
“I am most grateful to you all for the warm words of sympathy and support since the tragic loss of my dad. May the Heavens be eternally kind to his soul,” he wrote.
