Parts of Accra hit by earth tremor; Ghanaians share experiences

Some parts of Accra were hit by an earth tremor around 11 a.m. today, Monday, December 12, 2022.

Some of the places that recorded the tremor included Avenor Junction, Alajo, Adabraka, Gbawe, McCarthy hill, Accra Central, Mallam and its surroundings.

An Earth Tremor is a relatively small or short-lived movement of the earth’s surface caused by the same forces that produce earthquakes.

Experts say Accra is an earthquake-prone area and such movements could be recurrent.

Residents in areas that experienced the tremor took to twitter to share their experience.
