One of the three aspiring presidential candidates of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Samson Asaki Awingobit, has called on delegates ahead of today’s national delegates congress, to vote massively to confirm his candidature.
At a press briefing in Accra to update the media on the success of his campaign tour, Mr Asaki, thanked supporters of the party at the regional, constituency and grassroots base, for their welcoming support towards his campaign.
He commended party supporters for buying into his policies and ideas which he believes will go a long way to improve the fortunes of the party.
He also commended his two competitors for ensuring a decent campaign devoid of mudslinging and insults.
On his chances of emerging victor in the 30th September 2020 elections, Mr Asaki, said, he’s convinced beyond reasonable doubt of leading the PNC into the 2020 elections, based on the dint of hard work and sacrifice he has made throughout the campaign journey.
He called on the party delegates to vote for a candidate who will unify the party’s ranks, support the grassroots base at the constituency level, and as well improve the structures of the party, noting such a better candidate can only be found in him. ‘Samson Asaki Awingobit’.
Mr Asaki further urged the rank and file of the party, as well as the elections committee to ensure a level playing field during Wednesday’s national delegate Congress.
