Police exhumes bodies buried at a shrine at Adeiso

The Police have exhumed dead bodies of victims who were allegedly murdered by spiritualists/herbalists at the Power Spiritual and Herbal Centre, Adu Kojo near Mame Dede junction in the Adeiso District.
The bodies include that of a 64-year-old, Edward Quartey Papafio, and Kwashie Zormelo, age unknown, both from Kasoa.
Bones of other unknown corpses were also exhumed at the compound.
The suspects, Christian Lawoe Gameli @ Power 1 and Famous Adukonu @ Scorpion are said to have used the victims for rituals and buried them right at their centre.
According to a report by the police, a team of Police officers from the C.I.D Head Quarters in Accra led by the DG – C.I.D C.O.P/ Mr.Isaac Ken Yeboah carried out the operation which was peaceful and ended at about 1600 hours.
Meanwhile, the two suspects are in police custody at the CID Headquarters.
“The team exhumed decomposed bodies of Edward Quartey Papafio aged 64 and Kwashie Zormelo, age unknown, both from Kasoa from the compound of the spiritual centre. Bones of other unknown corpses were also exhumed at the compound. The exercise ended peacefully about 1600 hours. Meanwhile the team has gone back to Accra with the two suspects who were arrested earlier and are in custody at the CID Headquarters,” the police stated.

Good morning Sir. Asamankese Division. Adeiso District Sitrep. On 30/04/2020 about 1100 hours, a team of Officers from the C.I.D Hqrs, Accra led by the DG – C.I.D C.O.P/ Mr.Isaac Ken Yeboah arrived at the Power Spiritual and Herbal Centre, Adu Kojo near Mame Dede junction in Adeiso District for the exhumation of victims who were allegedly murdered by the spiritualists/ herbalists at the aforementioned centre, Christian Lawoe Gameli @ Power 1 and Famous Adukonu @ Scorpion. The team included ACP/ Mr. J.Oklu Dwamena i/c CID Operations, ACP/ Mr. Frederick Agyei i/c Interpol, C/Supt. Mr. Felix Anyidoho i/c Anti Armed Robbery Unit, C/Supt. Mr. Williams Sedoame i/c Homicide Unit, Supt/ Miss Belinda Banini i/c Crime Scene Management, Supt.Mr. Afful Edwards of the Police Intelligence Directorate and DSP/ Mr. Andrews Offei, 2 i/c of Anti Armed Robbery Unit as well as a Pathologist from the Police Hospital. Other Officers present were the Asamankese Division Commander, ACP/ Mr. K. Kankam Boadu, Adeiso District Commander DSP/ Mr. Nathan Apraku Yeboah and the Divisional Crime Officer, ASP/ Mr. Christian T. Apronti as well as the District Chief Executive for Upper West Akim District, Adeiso, Hon. Eugene Sackey.
