King makers of the Annor We Royal Family of Prampram in the Greater Accra Region comprising Abbey/Doku Mansro We, Tetteh Dzan/Larbi Agbo We and Kwei Opletu We, have served notice of their intention to enstool a new paramount chief.
In a joint statement signed by Numo Samuel K. Abbey, Numo Ebenezer Tetteh Djan Abbey and Numo Daniel Annerty Abbey, representing the afore-mentioned clans in Prampram, the Kingmakers noted that plans are far advanced for the installation of a new paramount chief for the area.
According to them, the stool, which has been vacant since 2015 following the demise of their late chief, has become a national worry due to attempts by some persons parading themselves as chiefs of the area to claim the stool.
According to the kingmakers, they have not officially enstooled any chief since 2015 hence all claimants to the stool are imposters, noting that none of the elders of the 3 clan houses, mandated by law to ascend the throne, had any point in time endorsed any individual claiming to be chief of the area.
According to the kingmakers, the various security agencies have been notified of their intention to install a new paramount chief in the coming weeks, following the successful selection and a unanimous endorsement of a candidate by the three gates.
Meanwhile, lawyers for the embattled paramount chief of Prampram Nene Tetteh Waka II have served notice to file a case of contempt against the said kingmakers.
