Two persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of a clan head on Tuesday dawn at Prampram in the Greater Accra region according to a police source.
Nene Ayeh Otusei Kro II was shot in the head during a clan meeting in the early hours of Tuesday. The murder has since thrown the Prampram township into a state of fear and anxiety.
The late clan head was shot in the head by some suspected hired assassins while in a meeting with some clan heads at the clan shrine.
Two other persons including the chief of Mobeleh, a community within the Paramountcy, are currently on admission at the hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds .
Samuel Narh a resident of Prampram, who was an eyewitness to the event said, the suspected assassins who stormed the meeting grounds, started firing at the elders who attempted to confront them over their presence there

Brother to the murdered clan head, Abraham Ayeh, called on the police to ensure justice is delivered in the matter. He said failure of the police to ensure justice will leave them with no other option that to take the law into their own hands and go after persons they believe have a hand in the murder of his brother.
Some residents of Prampram have expressed fears over the incident.
In a related development, the Tema Regional Police Commander, DCOP Barima Tweneboah Sasraku II has since visited the crime scene where he interacted with some family and clan heads of the deceased.
The latest incident comes barely a week after a petition was sent by the Paramount Stool father to the Regional Police Command over some threat to his life. Numo Osabu Abbey IV in the petition had called for police protection and also gave out names of individuals he suspects were behind the death threats linked to the long chieftaincy disputes in the area .
