President commissions Anomansa Cluster Water System at Mfantseman

The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, 30th June, 2020, commissioned the Anomansa Cluster Water System, in the Mfantseman constituency, and the Papaase Cluster Water System, in the Awutu Senya West constituency.
The commissioning of the projects is to symbolize the commissioning of 146 completed rural water systems in the Central Region.
Speaking at the ceremony to commission the project, President Akufo-Addo noted that the construction of each of the 146 water systems, commenced in 2017, with a US$47.5 million credit facility from the World Bank.
The beneficiary municipal and district assemblies are Awutu Senya West, Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, Assin South, Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa, Gomoa West, Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese, Mfantseman and Agona West.
In all, 154,826 people would be served with pipe borne water in these communities.
The Papase cluster water project is to serve fourty- eight thousand residents in a number of communities in Awutu Senya West.
The President who noticed that maintenance culture has been a problem of the country since Adam urged the residents of Amasamkrom and the beneficiary communities to take good care of the project.
For his part, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya West who is also the Deputy Minister of Communications, Hon George Neenyi Andah thanked the President for the project.
The Chief of Amasamkrom, Nana Okwam V thanked the President and promised to lead his people take good care of the facility for generations yet to come.
