Promoting Cultural Diversity: MTN Ghana supports traditional leaders

In a bid to promote cultural heritage and economic development, MTN Ghana has supported some traditional leaders in the Eastern Region to celebrate this year’s Ohum festival.

This annual celebration is a testament to the power of tradition and the importance of preserving our cultural identity.

MTN Ghana, through its support, donated GH¢10,000, drinks,  hampers, and GH¢1,000 airtime to both Tafo and Akyem traditional areas.

The gesture, according to the authorities, will help the local community grow and thrive.

Ransford Gyan, the Area Sales Manager for Eastern, Oti, and Volta, stated that MTN believes in supporting this festival because it is an investment in the future of various communities. “It’s exciting to see how this will affect the local economy and people’s lives.”

“We expect the festival to attract thousands of visitors, generate revenue, and create opportunities for local businesses,” he said.

The Chief of Akyem Tafo, Osabarima Adusei Peasah IV, commended the role of institutions in ensuring development in the area. He encouraged the youth to embrace opportunities that would help transform their livelihood.
