Rayan Medical Hospital opens Dialysis and Dental   Centre to augment Govt’s efforts

To augment government’s effort in dealing with chronic diseases especially kidney diseases, Rayan Medical Centre, located at Mataheko in Accra has opened a renal dialysis centre and a dental clinic to support Ghanaians fight such diseases.

Ghanaians with kidney diseases have experienced a number of challenges including high cost of dialysis, long queues and broken equipment.

Other times, when practitioners in the public sector go on strike, patients have to deal with a lot to get dialysis. Due to this, Rayan Medical Centre has opened the dialysis unit .

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of Rayan Medical Centre, Dr Faisal Sulley who noted that the renal dialysis unit is a significant milestone of the Rayan Medical Centre said the unit aims at providing the needed comprehensive care for people living with kidney related ailments.

He stated that the dialysis centre will offer services including kidney specialist care, Hemodialysis, abdominal tap, nutritional counseling, AV fistula insertion, central Venous catherization CVC and kidney transplantation workout amongst others to patients with much convenience.

Dr Faisal Sulley assured that the dialysis unit, named after the late ACP (RTD) Dr Seth Kwesi Koranteng who played a major role in his life while beginning his career will offer quality services at an affordable price to patients as part of the hospitals support to society.

To those who have kidney problems, he urged them not to give up but visit the the Rayan Medical Centre for positive results.

Spokesperson of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Armiyawo Shaibu  who was at the event commended the CEO of Rayan Medical Centre and encouraged Ghanaians to patronise the facility.

He noted that the opening of the facility will go a long way to augment Government’s effort in dealing with the diseases.

He also noted that the facility has about 10 machines for the renal dialysis, encouraging those who are around to go to centre when they feel unwell, noting that the charges which is very minimal is service to mankind with love and humility.

Meanwhile, the Rayan Medical Centre offers service including General OPD, gynae and fertility, ante-natal and delivery, urology, general surgery, child health, dietitian, psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, ultrasound scan, ECG, theatre services, family planning, corporate health, paediatric, speech and language therapy, ENT clinic, dialysis, pain treatment, paediatric surgery and a cardiac clinic.
