The District Chief Executive of the Upper Denkyira West in the central region, Richmond Koduah, has cut sod for the construction of an ultramodern computer laboratory at Diaso.
Speaking to the media, he said before and after he assumed office as the President’s representative in the district, education had been one of his topmost priorities, so he has pledged to contribute his quota to its elevation in that part of the country.
According to him, the construction of the ultramodern computer laboratory is one of the numerous ongoing projects under his leadership. Among others are the construction of a boys’ and girls’ dormitory, a teachers’ bungalow, a dining hall, and an assembly hall, all of which are almost ready for use.
Moreover, the DCE also threw more light on other projects to ensure better basic education in the district; he spoke about the contribution of classroom blocks in some of the small towns and villages in the district.
Upper Denkyira West district, with its capital Diaso, is one of the districts and municipalities established by former President J.A. Kufuor and inaugurated simultaneously on February 29, 2008.
