Samuel Amo Tobbin Foundation donates to three institutions

 

The Samuel Amo Tobin Foundation, a subsidiary of the Tobinco Group, has donated drugs and other items worth thousands of cedis to the Pantang Hospital, Nsawam Prisons and  the Awutu Camp Prisons.

The Acting Executive Director of Samuel Amo Tobbin Foundation, Mrs. Harriet Asante, speaking to the media after the donation, explained that the kind gesture  is to ensure that the health conditions of  inmates of the three institutions are improved.

Mrs. Harriet Asante explained that the donation is in connection with the World International day of charity which was marked on Wednesday 5th September 2018.

Some of the items donated included boxes of Alvite Syrup, boxes of Wormee Syrup, cartons of Kofof suppressant as well as other drugs manufactured by Entrance Pharmaceuticals Limited.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Pantang Hospital, Head of Pharmacy at the Hospital, Mr. Frank Asevor expressed his gratitude to the Samuel Amo Tobbin Foundation and asked other organizations to emulate the gesture.

He called on philanthropists and NGOs to come to their aid.

The Medical Superintended at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison Clinic,  Dr Lawrence Kofi Acheampong, who received the items on behalf of the Nsawam Prisons, also noted that medical supplies have been a major challenge and called on other organizations to  assist them.

At the Awutu Camp Prison in Kasoa, Chief Superintended Anaman William Thomas was full of praises for the Samuel Amo Tobbin Foundation and asked the foundation to include them in its annual donations.

International Day of Charity is observed annually on September 5th to raise awareness and provide a common platform for charity related activities all over the world for individuals, charitable, philanthropic and volunteer organizations for their own purpose on the local, national and international level.
