Tantra Hills: Gym instructor shot dead by gunmen on motorbike

Reports reaching Atinkaonline.com is that a gym instructor has been shot dead at Tantra Hills, Golden Door, within the Ga North Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

According to reports, he was shot early Thursday Morning, July 22, 2021 in his room by two men who went to his apartment on a motorbike.


The gym instructor, known as Moniker or Little is alleged to be having an affair with a married woman for some time.


Although not confirmed, there were speculations by eyewitnesses that the husband of the married woman contracted the assailants to kill the gym instructor.


Meanwhile, it was reported that when the assailants got to the gym instructor’s room, the married woman was with him while her car was parked outside as early as 2 a.m.


According to a report by Peace FM, the assailants did not pick or demand anything from Little when they shot him.


However, the Mile Seven police went to the scene to convey the body of the gym instructor whiles the woman was made to write a statement to help with investigations.

Dampare’s interpersonal skills have brought him this far- Security Expert

A Security Expert, Mr Paul Boateng, has asserted that the Acting Inspector General of the Ghana Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare’s interpersonal skills or relationship with people, especially his subordinates has helped him to get to his current position.

He was of the belief that succeeding in thIs kind of job depends on one’s interpersonal skills, especially with his subordinates, attributing that to Dampare’s success.

On Wednesday, July 21, 2021, the Commissioner of Police (COP) Dr George Akuffo Dampare was named the acting Inspector General of the Ghana Police (IGP).

The Deputy Director General of the Ghana Prisons Service, Mr Isaac Kofi Egyir, was also promoted to the Ag. Director General of the Prisons Service.

Both appointments take effect from Sunday, August 1, this year.

According to the Presidency, the new IGP and Director General of Prisons would act in their respective roles until substantive heads were appointed in accordance with the dictates of the 1992 Constitution.

Consequently, President Akufo-Addo also directed the IGP, Mr James Oppong-Boanuh, to embark on his terminal leave from August 1, this year, pending his retirement from the service on October 7, this year.
