SONA 2024: Akufo-Addo deliberately avoided corruption-Ablakwa

Member of Parliament of North Tongu in the Volta Region,  Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has lashed out at  President Nana Akufo Addo for deliberately avoiding corruption when he was delivering his State of the Nation Address (SONA) yesterday in Parliament.

Speaking to the media after the President’s address, Mr Ablakwa said he was expecting to hear the President speak on what he had done so far in his supposed fight against corruption.

According to the NDC MP, President Akufo-Addo in his State of the Nation Address in 2017, spoke passionately about the fight against corruption and even promised to protect the public purse; however, seven  years later, the President is avoiding the subject.

“Is  he conceding that he (Prez) has been defeated by corruption?” Ablakwa queried
