Speech-A-Thon: GWR has asked me to provide further evidence- Adu Safowaah

Regina Adu Safowaah, a Ghanaian actress and member of Global Citizen, says the Guinness World Record (GWR) has sent her an email for further evidence pending confirmation of her attempt to hold the record for the longest speech marathon.

Rumors and speculation suggest that the GWR did not recognize Adu Safowaah despite her efforts during her speech-a-thon.

On Thursday, February 15, Adu Safowaah completed her attempt at the GWR’s longest speech marathon by an individual.

She was able to reach her 130-hour target, which she embarked on on Friday, February 9 at the La Palm Royal Hotel.

Anata Ram KC from Nepal held the record for the longest speech marathon, which Adu Safowaah surpassed with an impressive 90 hours and 2 minutes from August 27 to 31, 2018.

She has not yet received recognition from the GWR, which has sparked conversations on social media with some people claiming the GWR has denied her certificate.

Speaking on Atinka TV’s On the relationship show Kisses and Roses with Nana Afia Oforiwaa, Adu Safowaah stated, “They sent me an email for further evidence, so we have provided it.”

She was confident that the GWR would recognize her efforts and send her the certificate.

According to her, God himself will cause the GWR to send the certificate, and she has not given up on it.

To those who are gossiping about the issue, she said she is mature and has nothing to prove to anyone.

“I’m maturing; I’m no longer a child, so it’s a process that we’re going through.” They requested additional evidence, as they found no errors in what they observed. However, they require additional information for my Guinness World Record attempt. We have sent this information and are currently awaiting it, she said. When asked if the GWR had informed her that she was ineligible to hold the certificate, she replied that no such information had come from the GWR.

She again said,For the certificate, I am not the one who will give it to myself; it is God who will give it to me; I will get it.”

Adu Safowaah continued, “For that one, if God says he will not do anything again in this world, then he must finish with my certificate.” “The Holy Spirit will bring it; do not be afraid; trust God.”

When questioned about Chef Smith’s issue of falsely claiming that the GWR has recognized him, she said her lawyers will discuss it and urged Ghanaians to give her team a week or two.
