Stop paying lip service to creative arts industry –Kojo Antwi advises gov’t

Julius Kojo Antwi, popularly known in showbiz circles as Kojo Antwi, has said the creative arts industry is suffering because the government appears to be paying lip service to the sector.

Speaking on Atinka FM’s Drive show hosted by DJ Candyman Friday, the “Akonoba” hit maker bemoaned the NPP government’s inability to implement many of the policies and programmes it promised the creative industry during campaign time.

The 2002 Ghana Music Award winner extolled the great policy ideas of government but was quick to decry and bemoan failure to implement such policies, thereby deepening the woes of the industry.

According to Mr. Music Man, if the NPP government is able to implement the policies and programmes it promised stakeholders of the creative art industry, it (creative sector) will undoubtedly become what consumers and players have always envisaged which he believes will go a long way to promoting our rich culture to the world through crafts and arts.
