At least five persons have lost their lives in a gory accident on Accra-Kumasi Highway.
The tragic incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday, July 7, 2021.
The incident, which involved a Hyundai H100 mini bus with registration number ER 1335-Z with passengers on board was Accra-bound from Nkawkaw.
Upon reaching a section of the road at Omenako, near Suhum on the Kumasi-Accra highway, the driver of the minibus overtook a vehicle ahead of him without observing traffic from the opposite direction.
In the process, his vehicle collided with a “Man Diesel trailer truck” with registration number GN 6885-20 which was loaded with unspecified quantities of crates of Guinness .
Five passengers onboard the Hyundai bus died on the spot including the driver while five others sustained injuries and were rushed to the Suhum Government Hospital for treatment.
