Suspected armed robbers attack Keta MP-elect

The newly elected Member of Parliament for Keta, Dzudzorli Gakpey, was attacked by armed men in masks last night in his home.

The robbers reportedly held the MP and his household at gunpoint while they ransacked every room in the house.

The armed men made away with ¢50,000 cash and valuable items including phones and laptops of the MP and his brothers.

The lawmaker reportedly escaped through his back door to the police station in the town, only to meet an empty Police Station.

The suspects are yet to be identified 

The member of Parliament is currently at Keta Municipal Hospital receiving treatment.
