Tema Port Public Affairs Manager stabbed to death

The Tema Port Marketing and Public Affairs Manager, Josephine Asante has been stabbed to death by unknown persons at her Community 25 residence in Tema.

The killers did not take away a single item from her home even though there were several valuables in her room glaring enough beckoning attention.

The deceased’s 12 year old son told the General Manager in charge of Administration of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority Sandra Oppoku, who is currently at the home of the slain manager that their mother had laptops, jewellery, phones and other accessories that were exposed in the room, but none of them were taken by the perpetrators.

The development gives an indication that the murder could have been  a contract killing.

A source with knowledge about the incident revealed that Mrs. Josephine Asante was attacked and killed in her bedroom soon after she returned from a Senior Staff Party, Saturday January 12, 2019 in the night. The source said after killing the victim, the perpetrators locked her bedroom and threw the key on the compound.

The deceased’s children are said to have discovered the body after they broke her door, which had been locked by the assailants.

Upon opening the door, the children discovered her body in a pool of blood and raised alarm which drew the attention of neighbours.

Some Staff of the Ghana Port and Harbours Authority are presently at her residence awaiting the arrival of the police to convey the body to the morgue.
