Ghanaian politician and Former Member of Parliament for Ayensuano Constituency, Samuel Ayeh-Paye has described the Late Former First Lady, Theresa Kufour as someone who did not interfere in the affairs of her husband or his work as some First Ladies do.
According to him, some First Ladies were so much in the business of their husband’s such that people had to go to them to convince their husbands in bed to give them contracts or appointments.

Commenting on the late former First Lady’s one week observance held at Peduase in the Eastern Region, on Atinka TV‘s morning show, Ayeh-Paye said,”When we look at her life, she did not involve herself so much in her husband’s work unlike some other First Ladies . Sometimes, if you need an appointment, you have to see a First Lady, if you want a contract, you have to see a First Lady for her to speak with her husband in bed but Theresa Kufour was different. Such stories were never heard of her.
He continued,”I never heard someone say that he or she was going to see Mama Theresa so that when she is in bed with her husband, she will speak to him to give the person an appointment or a contract.
Meanwhile, he said that Theresa Kufour was very calm and warmly welcomed everybody to her house.
