Tobinco Group donates items, GH¢10,000 to orphanage

The Tobinco Group of Companies has donated food and non- food items in addition to a cheque of GH¢10,000 to the Good Shepherd Childcare Centre at Ofaakor Bohyeasaseso in the Central Region, previously known as Good Shepard Orphanage.

The items donated include, groceries, sporting items, washing machine, a mowing machine which was requested by the Management of the Orphanage, among others.  

The gesture forms part of Tobinco’s Thanksgiving activities for the 2021. 

The donation was done by the management and staff of the eleven subsidiaries of the Tobinco Group of Companies. 

The children at the Orphanage, welcomed the Tobinco Team with praises and Jama songs. 

Giving reasons for the donation, the Group Financial Controller of the Tobinco Group of Companies, Mr Daniel Gyapanin, said, the workers of the Tobinco group took a cue from the Group Chairman, Elder Dr. Samuel Nana Amo Tobin, who is a renowned philanthropist. 

According to him, the preparation started since January. 

He urged Ghanaians to remember the less privileged during this Festive season. 

The Tobinco team also inspected an ongoing face-lifting of dining hall by Toblues Properties, a subsidiary of the Tobinco group, at the center and presented the GH¢10,000 cash to facilitate the roofing.

The Head of Corporate Affairs of the Tobinco Group of Companies, Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, urged the Center to put the resources to good use. 

The Director of the Center, Bishop Kwaku Addei, who received the items, commended the Tobinco Group for the kind gesture and promised to put the items and cash to good use.
