Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region’s “Bigman” town, a suburb of Kasoa, was the scene of an armed robbery and shooting of 26-year-old Calvin Nii Kpakpo Allotey, a mobile money vendor.
The mobile money vendor was attacked by the three robbers while he was inside his container, and when he tried to flee, they (the robbers) pulled a pump action gun out of a sack and shot him in the right arm.
Later, the alleged armed robbers fired warning shots before accelerating away on their motorcycles.
The upsetting incident was caught on camera by a nearby hotel’s CCTV system.
At the moment, the victim is being treated at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital.
