The medical processes for partially blind boy, Ransford Yohanes Agenu have commenced in India.
Ransford Yohanes Agenu is to undergo an eye surgery in a branch of Dr Agarwal’s Eye Clinic in India.
He left on the eve of Tuesday, March 3, 2020 with his Guardian, Jennifer Hlordzi with an Emirates flight which arrived in Chennai, India on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.
On arrival, they were welcomed by doctors from Dr Agarwal’s Eye Clinic in India who ushered them into their hotel room.
The two are expected to spend 45 days in India for doctors to have enough time to examine the patient before and after the surgery.
It will be recalled that in the latter part of January, a six -year -old boy with his sister called on Atinka News Team to help them raise funds for the medication and surgery for the boy who was about to lose his two eyes.
After news publications on Atinka TV, Atinka 104.7 FM and Atinkaonline.com, a section of the public donated enough funds to purchase medications for the boy aside the money needed for his surgery.
The money donated by the public was used to purchase three months medication for the boy.
However, Ghanaian Businessman and founder of Engineers and Planners, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, who initially supported the boy in purchasing his medication also fully paid an amount of 8310 US Dollars for the partially blind boy to undergo the eye surgery in India.
After the payment, the Atinka News Team used the remaining funds to secure an expressed passport for the boy and his guardian, as well as visas for the two.
From the same donations, the Atinka News Team purchased plane tickets for the two who will spend about 45 days in India.
Today, the medical processes for partially blind boy, Ransford Yohanes Agenu has commenced in India and the Atinka News Team will update the public when necessary.
