A Communications Team Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ibrahim Ali says the Government will arrest Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, Popularly known as Chairman Wontumi for his alleged involvement in corruption and illegal mining.
He alleged that Wontumi was involved in galamsey and used the money to fund the New Patriotic Party (NPPs) campaigns.
Ibrahim Ali was Speaking on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie with Ama Gyenfa.
He said if Chairman Wontumi is not arrested in the next six months, then President John Dramani Mahama is not a good President.
According to Ibrahim Ali, aside from Chairman Wontumi, the government will arrest and jail all those who were involved in bribery and corruption under the previous government.
Ibrahim Ali also warned that those who have been appointed by the President John Dramani Mahama should refrain engaging themselves in any kind of corruption.
According to him, those who engage in corruption under this government will also be jailed without favour.
