The newly elected National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Stephen Ayesu Ntim has assured that the new executives of the party will work assiduously to win the election in 2024.
He said this right after he was declared winner of the National Chairmanship race at the just ended National Delegates Conference.
Mr Ntim entered the Chairmanship race with six other counterparts.
At the end of the election he secured 4,014 votes, equivalent to 72 percent to emerge winner.
He takes over from Mr Freddie Blay who has been the NPP’s National Chairman since 2015.
Giving a speech after his declaration as the National Chairman, Mr Ntim assured that, “The new national executives will work assiduously for the party to win election 2024, in conjunction with our parliamentary party, that is our members of parliament, and our diasporan party, our members in foreign countries.”
Mr Ntim also expressed gratitude to his party members for allowing him to Chair the party.
“I am grateful to my supporters and the party at large for giving me a memorable 64th birthday present. It has been 20 long years of wandering in the wilderness for this Position as National Chairman of the NPP, and I assure you that after 20 years of labouring in the wilderness before getting to this far, I am going to cherish the Chairmanship Position, I will value the Chairmanship position and I will make sure that it will be a unique position that will remain enviable for anybody in the party to aspire for,” he added.
