Madam Akosua Agyeman, a resident of Medea in Accra and an an ardent listener of Atinka FM’s morning show “ AM Drive” has shared, with Atinka Fm’s morning show team, her frightening experience with armed robbers.
Madam Akosua Agyeman narrated to Host of Atinka FM’s AM Drive, Ekourba Gyasi, how 3 armed men broke into her room, asked her to choose between being robbed, raped or killed.
She recalled that a funeral was being held in her neighbour’s house when she returned from the bank on 19th December 2018.
According to her, she was already tired and decided to rest for a while before taking her bath and eventually retiring to bed.
Madam Akosua Agyeman told Ekourba Gyasi that she woke up to three men carrying weapons in her bedroom.
” I returned from the bank and so I had GHS1,500 in my bag. The noise behind my house was unbearable and so I decided to rest for a while before anything else. I took my phone to check messages on my phone, I didn’t know how I fell asleep. I woke up to three 3 men standing in my hall. One of them immediately asked me to choose between being robbed, raped or killed. I couldn’t speak for like 30 minutes and because of the noise behind my house, screaming was out of the options. They took my phone and gave me back my sim card and kept the phone. I was robbed of my money and beaten to the pulp at the end. What hurt me the most is that I was naked and so they saw my nakedness”, she recounted.
Asked how the incident affected her, Madam Akosua Agyeman explained that she could not sleep alone for six months.
