The Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited, a subsidiary of Tobinco Group of Companies in collaboration with the Entrance Pharmaceuticals and Research Centre has collaborated with the Church of Pentecost (CoP) to sensitise the public on malaria.
This is to help achieve zero malaria by the year 2023.
The sensitisation which was on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 was to mark World Malaria Day 2023.

World Malaria Day is an international observance commemorated every year on 25 April and recognizes global efforts to control malaria.
This year’s commemoration is dubbed,“Time to deliver zero malaria: invest, innovate, implement.”
Speaking on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie with Nana Yaw Fianko, the Deputy Managing Director- Marketing for Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited, Dr Christopher Mensah said the Women’s Ministry of the Church of Pentecost observed how deadly malaria could be and the need to collaborate with them to sensitise the public on malaria.
As part of activities to commemorate the event, he said a conference was being organised by the Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited and the Entrance Pharmaceuticals and Research Centre and the COP at the International Conference Centre with the National Malaria Elimination Programme.
Dr Christopher Mensah noted that Lufart, Artenate DS Tablet which is an innovative product of the TPL and other products from the TPL will be showcased.
At the same time, he said women from the COP will be on a float at Ashaiman in a track to educate people about malaria.
He said there will also be a health screening at Ashaiman on Saturday, April 29, 2023, adding that those who test positive for malaria will be treated or given medicines.
“This is the help we are giving to our community with the church. Very importantly, we want people to know that when we come together, we can fight malaria and so let us try to protect ourselves and if malaria comes, we can also fight it with authentic and or quality medicines,” he said.
