“You were killed in pursuit of truth” – Anas remembers death of Ahmed

A year on after the death of Hussein-Suale, undercover investigator and a key member of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye Private Investigations team, Ace investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has taken to twitter to remember his colleague.
Undercover investigator and a key member of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye Private Investigations team, Ahmed Hussein-Suale was shot dead by unknown assailants on 17th January 2019.
Ahmed was killed at Madina in Accra while driving home by unidentified men riding motorbikes.
No personal belonging of the late Ahmed Suale, who was shot three times twice in the chest and another in the neck, was taken.
A disheveled Anas confirmed the sad development to Atinkaonline a year ago, grieved the loss of a core team member and a brother, to Atinkaonline, hardly able to compose.
Ahmed was one of Tiger Eye’s journalists whose photographs the member of parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong circulated in his ‘who watches the watchman’ anti-Anas video documentary and called on the public to deal with for a handsome reward.
Anas Aremeyaw Anas in commemoration of the death of Ahmed Hussein Suale posted on twitter Thursday 16th January 2020 morning, “You were killed in the pursuit of the truth. We will never forget you. We will fight till justice prevails.”
 

 
Meanwhile President for the Ghana Journalist Association, Affail Monney, speaking at a one year commemoration service has called on the government to help intensify the search for the killers, fast-track their prosecution and their subsequent detention.
He added that this, when done, will send a clear message across the world that Ghana grants no immunity to persons who commit abominable crimes such as this.
“We at the GJA would want to use this commemoration ceremony to sound a clarion caution to all journalist to sharpen their sense of security especially this election year and avoid areas and practices which will endanger their lives,” he said.
