“Your memories will live forever” – Bawumia eulogises Rawlings

Ghana has lost a colossus and his fond memories will forever live, The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Mahamudu Bawumia has said.

This statement follows the demise of the former President of the Republic of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings.

Former President of the Republic of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings, died after battling a short illness.

Jerry John Rawlings died at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital today, Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 73.

Reacting to the news of the demise, vice president Mahamudu Bawumia mentioned that the role of his Excellency Jerry John Rawlings’ in the political history of Ghana is indelible.

He added that his fight for the poor and his impact on national cohesion and discipline is unforgettable.

“I have heard with shock the passing of Former President Jerry John Rawlings. His Excellency Jerry John Rawlings’ role in the political history of Ghana is indelible, his fight for the poor and his impact on national cohesion and discipline is unforgettable. Ghana has lost a colossus and his fond memories will forever live. My condolences to the former First Lady, Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, the children, the allied families and the nation as a whole.

May his soul Rest In Peace”, Bawumia said in a facebook post.
