2024 elections: NDC ready to match NPP boot for boot -Hanna Bissiw

Dr Hannah Bissiw, National Women's Organiser, NDC

Dr. Hanna Louisa Bissiw, National Women’s Organizer of the largest opposition political party in Ghana, National Democratic Congress (NDC),  has warned that her party is prepared to match the ruling party New Patriotic Party (NPP) boot for boot if they attempt to cause mayhem ahead of the  2024 election.

According to her, if the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has in mind to intimidate supporters of NDC or Ghanaians just to rig the 2024 election, they should be ready to face them (NDC).

Madam Hanna Bissiw’s comment comes after the Abetifi Member of Parliament who doubles as the Minister of Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong said the NPP would not hand over power to the NDC.

Speaking to members of the NPP in Kwahu after a health walk on Saturday, April 8, the Abetifi lawmaker said,  “NDC party will collapse. If the NDC dares to use threats, violence, and foolishness in the 2024 election, we will let them know we have the men. We will show them that we have the men. We have the men.

“It will never happen that we the NPP will stand on a platform to hand over power to the NDC. It will never happen! We will make sure NPP remain in government at all cost,” the minister said

However, speaking in an exclusive interview on Atinka FM’s AM Drive with host Kaakiyre Ofori Ayim, Dr. Hanna Louisa Bissiw said, the NDC, as a party respects the Constitution of this country “but it is the same Constitution that says that Ghanaians should resist anybody who attempts to subvert the Constitution.

Madam Bisiw added that the Abetifi MP’s comments “is a clear indication of the evil intent of the NPP to manipulate the outcome of the 2024 elections” and further reiterated her call on the security agencies to arrest Mr. Acheampong for his “reckless statement”.
