26th GJA Awards: Atinka TV’s Di Asa wins TV Programme of the Year

Atinka TV’s flagship reality show, Di Asa, has again won the TV Programme of the Year (Akan category) award at the just ended 26th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards.

The Awards was held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.

Continuously, since its inception, DI Asa has received recognition by the GJA and other award schemes.

Di Asa is a TV reality Show, which brings plus size women across the country together groom, train and empower them to reach their goals.

So far, five seasons have been done successfully, with season six currently running.

The Radio/ TV Programme of the year, was not the only award picked by Atinka Media Village, on the night, the Giant Media House also won a Special Award for its support towards the GJA and the entire media, as well as its contribution to national development.

Atinka TV’s Pastor Martin Semordzi, Host of Obi Adi M’awu, Albert Johnson (Odeefuor) and News Editor, Isaac Nuamah Yeboah received the Awards on behalf of the organisation.

Meanwhile, Portia Gabor of TV3 Network was crowned Journalist of the Year.

She is known for her features and health reports of which she received awards for.

On the night, Portia Gabor took home three awards.

The Female Journalist of the Year award went to
Francisca Enchill of Joy Prime TV.

The Komla Dumor Most Promising Award went to Emmanuel Koranteng of Joy News.
