Disputed parliamentary results: We won all 12 seats, resume collation-NPP tells EC

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has firmly stated its confidence in winning 12 parliamentary constituencies following the December 2024 general elections.

The bold declaration was made at a press conference at held party’s headquarters in Accra today .

The constituencies in question include Ablekuma North, Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, Dome Kwabenya, Ahafo Ano North, Obuasi East, Ahafo Ano South West, Akwatia, Suhum, Fanteakwa North, Nsawam-Adoagyiri, and Techiman South.

Addressing the press, the Electoral and Legal Affairs Committee Chairman and former National Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Mac Manu, called on the Electoral Commission (EC) to resume the collation process without delay to ensure that the democratic will of voters is upheld.

“We are very certain that, our parliamentary candidates in the above-mentioned constituencies won the elections, based on verifiable data from the pink sheets as we have demonstrated”.

“It is therefore our expectation that the EC would immediately resume the collation exercise.

He, however, urged the EC and all stakeholders to, in the interest of democracy and the peace of our dear country, take immediate steps to give effect to the will of the voters in these constituencies as expressed in the December polls

“We implore the National Election Security Taskforce to provide adequate security to facilitate peaceful collation under a serene environment. We also urge the NDC leadership to rein in their supporters to ensure the process concludes without further disturbances,” he said.
