GJA releases list of winners ahead of 25th Awards Night

The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has released the list of persons to be awarded at the 25th GJA Awards.

The award, which is scheduled for 24th October 2020 is on the theme “Covid-19 and Credible  Presidential and Parliamentary elections: The Media factor.

Announcing the names of Journalists to be awarded, the GJA awards committee chairperson, Mrs. Betty Appau Oppong mentioned that the committee received 625 and 75 entries in hard and online respectively.

 She added that the announcement is to identify Journalists who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of practice in 2019 as well as journalists who were outstanding in reporting on coronavirus pandemic.

“It is important to emphasize that the GJA awards day is to celebrate all those who sent who sent quality entries to the competition and distinguished themselves in their professional practice. I cannot formally declare the winners of the 25TH GJA Awards without commending most highly the solid roll Journalists in general continue to play in the sustenance of the award,”  Mrs. Betty Appau Oppong said.
