ADB donates PPEs worth GHS800,000 to selected institutions, hospitals

 
The Agriculture Development Bank has donated PPE’s worth GHS800,000 to selected health institutions in Ghana.
The donation forms part of the Bank’s commitment in the fight against the novel coronavirus which has affected the country.
The Managing Director of Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), Dr. John Kofi Mensah while presenting a cheque donation of Two Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis to the COVID-19 Trust Fund promised to donate some PPE’s as well.
ADB in honoring its promise today donated items worth GHS800,000 to some institutions including the Noguchi Medical Research, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Greater Accra Regional  Hospital, Ghana Immigration Service (GIS),  Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, Tamale Teaching hospital among others.
The items donated include; 2000 face masks, 7500 pair of hand gloves, 400 hair nets, 200 Veronica Buckets, 200 Alcohol based sanitizers, liquid soaps, paper towels and 20 thermometer guns.
Dr. John Kofi Mensah noted that ADB was optimistic that the donation will go a long way in contributing to the country’s fight against the pandemic.
According to him, ADB will in due course announce a special package for its customers to further ease the current pressure on them.
Dr. John Kofi Mensah also called on Customers of ADB and the general public to adhere strictly to the health protocols of wearing nose masks, constantly washing hands under running water, practicing social distancing, exercising and most importantly staying home.
” As a Bank we have also taken steps to comply with the health protocols by providing PPE’s to all our 83 branches and also reduced our staff strength by 52% to ensure that we adhere to the social distance protocol”, he said.
