AG’s Office Takes Over KNUST Murder Case Docket

The prosecution team handling the murder case of KNUST student allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, Miss Joana Deladem Yabani, has submitted an amended charge sheet and an autopsy report to the court.

However, the trial has faced another delay as the prosecution awaits advice from the Attorney-General’s Office. 

During the latest hearing, the court directed the police prosecution team to expedite the process by coordinating with the Attorney-General to ensure a speedy trial.

The prime suspect, Master Daniel Tuffuor, a final-year student, has been remanded for the second time. 

The case has been adjourned to April 1, 2025, to allow for further legal proceedings. The management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has assured all stakeholders, including the bereaved family, of its commitment to seeking justice.

Deputy Registrar of KNUST, Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe, reaffirmed that updates on the case will be provided as developments unfold.
