Akosua, who doubles as the Executive Director of the High-Tension Foundation, hosts Efisem, Ghana’s leading Saturday morning radio show focusing on social issues.

She has gained a reputation for championing causes that address broken homes, empower women and young girls, and amplify the voices of marginalized groups. Her work in media has been instrumental in tackling critical societal issues, making her a natural fit for this role.

Over the years, Akosua High Tension has created awareness on mental health issues and spoken against suicide on every platform she has mounted.

She observed the growing spate of suicide amongst the youth, advising them that suicide is never an option to solving problems.

Again, Akosua High Tension noticed that men especially do not like to share their problems, and would rather resort to suicide when they can no longer take it.

She continues to advise men to speak out when they are facing critical life challenges, stating that a problem shared is half solved.

Expressing her excitement about the role, Akosua High Tension reaffirmed her commitment to using her platform to promote mental well-being and support individuals battling emotional distress.
