President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday gave Presidential Assent to Assent to 5 Bills, namely; Office of Special Prosecutor Bill; Zongo Development Fund Bill; Coastal Development Authority Bill; Middle Belt Development Authority Bill; and the Northern Development Authority Bill.
“These are some of the most important elements of the NPP’s 2016 Manifesto, on which we were elected into office, and they have now found legislative expression,” the president said during a media interaction at the Flagstaff House.
The President was hopeful that the Office of the Special Prosecutor help fight Corruption in the public sector.

He gave the assurance that the office will not embark on selective justice, adding that past and present government officials will be subjected to the scrutiny of the Special Prosecutor law.
President Akufo -Addo was also hopeful that the three development authorities will play critical roles in ensuring rapid development at the grassroots.
