Akufo-Addo resumes official duties today

Just a day after being declared winner of the 2020 election, President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo is back to work with his appointees to continue official duties in the Jubilee House.

Although working, he is also receiving calls and congratulatory messages for emerging winner of the election.

Speaking at a press briefing in Accra on Thursday, December 10, 2020 the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said the Akufo-Add- led government is back to work to wrap government business for the year, therefore resuming a day right after the declaration.


Kojo Oppong Nkrumah also said international bodies including ECOWAS,  have commended Ghana for conducting such a peaceful and successful election.

He reiterated that reports from the Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) confirmed that its PVT Results are accurate and conforms with that of the Electoral Commission.

On behalf of Government, he commended and congratulated the media for its role in the coverage of the election, saying that the Media has been instrumental in assisting in voter education, disseminating of manifestos, election day development,  results and collation of votes amongst others.

He urged the media to continue with it’s good works moving forward.
