Alan promises to revamp Volta Star Textiles

Independent Presidential aspirant and founder of Movement For Change, Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanten has assured that the Volta Star Textile Limited at Juapong in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region will be adequately retooled to produce more to meet local demand.

According to the Former Trade and Industry  Minister, the company has been in his heart for many years since his days as  Minister.

The Volta Star Textile Limited at Juapong in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region was established in 1967 as a manufacturing firm for processing cotton into yarn and grey baft to feed local and foreign fabric manufacturing companies.

The company has within the past two decades, however, suffered dire challenges which have negatively affected its operations.

Addressing some traders in Juapong as part of his market tour to the Volta Region, he promised a facelift of the Textile company to scale up its production to the maximum capacity.

“I want you to all understand the benefits of this factory, such that it is the only factory that supplies cotton for Akosombo Textiles and GTP, hence the need for every government to mainly focus on how to recapitalize it, ” he asserted.

He indicated that if given the nod to become President, his government would woo strategic investors to inject capital into the company’s business.

“Even though I’m not in government now, Juapong Volta Star Textile Limited is on my heart. So I always look forward to wooing investors to retool it” he mentioned.

At the Ho Central Market, Traders left their wares to follow Alan and appeared in numbers to commend Alan for showing up at this critical moment as they were tired of NDC and NPP.

Alan Kyereamten, therefore, charged them to show commitment to this by voting against the NDC and NPP in the upcoming December polls.
