Renowned journalist, Ishmael Atiemo, popularly known as Obidihyie Kwaku Atiemo, has been honoured with an honourary award by the Ghana Tertiary Excellence Awards (GTEA) 2023.
According to the GTEA committee, Obidihyie Kwaku Atiemo is recognized for his intense dedication, efforts, and commitment to journalism and the media on a whole.

Obidihyie Kwaku Atiemo who works with Atinka FM and Atinka TV was selected for his significant contribution to the promotion, informing and the elevation of Ghanaian culture and talent through news casting.
This was at the third edition of the Ghana Tertiary Excellence Awards (GTEA) held at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly auditorium.
The award scheme seeks to recognise and reward personalities for their outstanding and exceptional commitment in the media space.
In view of this, the celebrated media personality was honoured for hardwork and dedication to educating the public, informing and promoting change in society.
