Atinka FM Marks 10th Anniversary with Free Health Screening

Atinka 104.7 FM is 10 years and as part of activities to mark a decade of excellence in broadcasting, Tobinco Media Group, in collaboration with Prescott Medical Centre, organized a free health screening exercise for its listeners and the general public. 

The initiative, held at the forecourt of the Tobinco Media Village, saw over 200 people benefiting from various medical checkups, including blood pressure and body mass index assessments.

 Beneficiaries also received free medications, courtesy of Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited (TPL), with drugs supplied by Entrance Pharmaceuticals and Research Centre, a subsidiary of the Tobinco Group of Companies.

Speaking on the significance of the exercise, the Head of Radio at Tobinco Media Group, Albert John Son, well known as Odefour DiAsa Paapa, emphasized the company’s commitment to the holistic well-being of its audience.

“Beyond providing professional and responsible journalism, we also care about the health of our listeners. This is why we undertook this exercise,” – he stated.

Among the many who benefited from the screening was 67-year-old Madam Victoria from Kasoa, who arrived as early as 5:30 a.m. to partake in the exercise. Expressing her gratitude, she said, “May God richly bless Atinka. I am very happy because I was treated very well.” 

The anniversary celebrations kicked off with a grand durbar attended by sponsors, former employees, and industry stakeholders. Management reaffirmed its pledge to continue delivering programs that serve the national interest and contribute to Ghana’s development. 

The 10th-anniversary celebrations of Atinka 104.7 continue with a series of activities aimed at giving back to the community and reinforcing its commitment to responsible journalism and public service.
